The haunted-house concept is nothing new in the movie world. In this new movie based on the old idea, director Peter Cornwell is exploring it from another angle by trying to incorporate it into a cancer patient’s pain.
The house, that the family of three – made up of the patient and his parents – occupies, has a past as a funeral home and center of séances. The saving grace of the place for them is that it is near where the teenager patient is getting treated. The shadowy past throws its evidence around in the form of blood and gore and eerie sounds and shadows. But the suffering teenager is not sure how much of it is real and how much is medicine-induced hallucination, till he takes a co-patient into confidence.
The problem with the movie is that somehow its spookiness angle does not gel properly. Despite its PG-13 stamp, it looks more like a family saga, or one that derives its strength from human emotions. Horror movies have to horror-driven, or they may end up as senseless travesties.

People are often spoilt for choices when it comes to watching films, as there are a lot of films that are released from time to time. People however look out for those films that they feel would be the most promising. There are a few movies that are so much enjoyed by the audience that they wish that the length of the film could have been a bit longer. One such movie is The Last House on the Left that has been directed by Dennis Iliadis. This horror movie has the right mix of everything to make it worth going. The story of the film is about a girl named Mari Collingwood and her friend who are kept captive. The girls try hard to escape, but more than once their plans are thwarted. The film has been well scripted and crafted to make it the movie that it is, sure to be liked by the audience and be a money churner at the same time.

The film has been remade once again for people to once again get to watch the gory murders of people by a madman. Jason again remerges to start killing teenagers gruesomely for no reason at all. The story starts at the very point where the previous movie had ended. The film revolves around a group of teenagers who are holidaying at a summer home belonging to one of their friends. They are soon joined by a guy who is searching for his sister, who is shown becoming a victim of Jason right at the beginning of the film. The film then proceeds with each of these teenagers being killed one by one by Jason. Each of the victims dying in the film are shown being killed in different gruesome ways by Jason. The film is sure to keep moviegoers to keep interested in watching it, however how many people would like it is not sure.
