Directed by Andy Rickman, Race To Witch Mountain is the recent offering from the house of Disney for children. The story of the film is indeed an interesting one, and involves aliens. In this film the aliens are shown to have landed on earth, where they have taken up the shape of teenagers armed with special powers. The film is all about how these alien turned teenagers seek the help of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to get to their ship. In their journey to their ship they must face tough competition in the form of the government and other aliens who have been sent to hunt them down. The movie is sure to be liked by children who seem to have taken a liking for such films off late. This is why nowadays it is seen that Disney is coming out with such movies rather than the animated movies, for which they had become famous.

Phoebe in Wonderland: This movie has Elle Fanning the sister of Dakota Fanning playing the title role of Phoebe. The child is shown as having a liking for Alice in Wonderland, and like Alice has a general apathy to the normal world, and longs to be in a world like Wonderland where anything can happen. Phoebe has her own share of problems at the school and has to appear often in front of the principal. But things change for better when a new drama teacher comes to the school with whom Phoebe is able to relate. The child then manages to grab the role of Alice in the drama on Alice in Wonderland in the movie. Elle has done a good work in the film, and considering the fact that she is so young, it makes quite obvious that by the time she grows up, she will become a fine actor.

There seems to be a sudden splurge of films shot in 3D hitting the movie halls in recent times. The story of the film is about the three Jonas brothers Nick, Kevin and Joe, and their fans. There is nothing much in the story except for some live performances that are shown in the film, with 3D effect in them, which would give movie goers a feel of watching the concerts live. The film can neither be termed as too good, nor can it be termed to be too bad. It is targeted mostly for the teenagers, and would be liked by them. The cinematography in the film is quite good, and the shots of the stage have been done quite tastefully. With the target audience being children the movie is not expected to do much of a business. Directed by Bruce Hendricks, this movie looks set to do well amongst the teenage audience.
