    12 Rounds is an action-packed thriller that drives a detective relentlessly through the streets of New Orleans in answer to 12 bizarre punishment rituals that look like devil’s challenges.
    The detective played by John Cena has his hands tied. The challenges emanate from an internationally known terrorist who has kidnapped his girl friend and is holding her hostage to wreck vengeance on Cena. Cena has to continue playing every daredevil game he has been asked to play, juggling courage, fear, risk, time, and every other factor that action thrillers are required to throw into the ring.
    The movie suffers from a surfeit of stunts. And the stunts are some sort of travesty of daredevilry, and might disappoint even stunt lovers. A sample stunt is one that involves driving a fire truck across the city and bulldozing property. His adventures around a brakeless car and the medical helicopter are the only ones that give some respite.
    Kidnapped girlfriends seem to be Cena’s routine cross, the way he was seen caught in a similar situation in his earlier movie ‘The Marine’ as well.

    Directed by Andy Rickman, Race To Witch Mountain is the recent offering from the house of Disney for children. The story of the film is indeed an interesting one, and involves aliens. In this film the aliens are shown to have landed on earth, where they have taken up the shape of teenagers armed with special powers. The film is all about how these alien turned teenagers seek the help of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to get to their ship. In their journey to their ship they must face tough competition in the form of the government and other aliens who have been sent to hunt them down. The movie is sure to be liked by children who seem to have taken a liking for such films off late. This is why nowadays it is seen that Disney is coming out with such movies rather than the animated movies, for which they had become famous.

    Zack Snyder seems to have done complete justice to the popular comic named Watchmen that was written by Alex Tse and David Hayter. The director has been able to maintain the originality of the comic through the well maintained script doing full justice to the original that was written. He has also however made certain important changes to make it suit the requirements of a movie. In order to do this he has changed the ending of the comic to a simpler one for the film. Apart from trying to show the story of each of the main characters in the film, the director had also to show the general story which made the task of story-telling quite tough. The exemplary performances by all the actors in the film made sure that the film stands out from the other superhero films that have released so far.

    People have always a special liking for movies that are high in action and do not mind going for such movies even if they do not have any story in it. However this does not mean that directors can have loads of action in a movie without any story in it, and expect it to be liked by the audience. The actors in the movie are all below par and they have been of least help in making the weak storyline seemingly interesting by their performances. The action fights that are there in the movie are so short that they are over even before they start. The main plot of the film is about Chung Li, who is after the villain named Bison, to take revenge for the murder of her father. There have been many other action movies in the past, but none of them turned out to be an utter disaster as this one.

    One thing that strikes about this film is that never has any film made the banking industry seem so much similar to an espionage film. The plot of the film happens to be the weakest link with absolutely no substance in it. The story of the film is about an Interpol agent named Louis who is investigating into the affairs of a certain IBBC, which lends money to people without even doing a background check on them. Clive Owen plays the trigger happy Louis, who is shown shooting guns for most of the duration of the film. Naomi Watts who is there in the film in the role of a New York investigator joins Owen in his exploits. There are a lot of bullets flying around throughout the film, and at the end of the film it turns out to be a complete mess. The director Tom Tykwer should however be appreciated for making the nbanking industry look so different.

    Taken is an action film that has Liam Neeson playing the role of an operative with CIA. He plays the role of Bryan who has long retired from CIA, but has no family with him, as his wife had already left him and was married to another guy, and he has very less interactions with his daughter who treats him like a stranger. In order to break the ice with his daughter Leeson allows her to go on a trip with other friends to France, where they are kidnapped and sold away by sex traders. What begins then is a through and through thriller with Bryan going to France in order to find and bring his daughter back. He is helped in his quest by his sources in the French police. The film is an absolute delight for action movie lovers, and is finely paced. Leeson acts well as the middle aged father trying to bring back his daughter in this movie.

    The third film in the Underworld series that deals with werewolves and vampires tries explaining to the audience about how the conflict between the two parties that have been portrayed in the previous two films in the series actually began. Kate Beckinsale who had previously played the lead in the Underworld series has been replaced in this recent movie by Rhona Mitra. Although most of the story that has been shown in the movie has already been mentioned in the previous two movies in the series, this movie proves to be the best among the three movies in the series that have been release so far. The visual effects that have been used in the film are quite good, and definitely be liked by the audience. Compared to the other movies in the series that have been released till date, this one proves to be a lot better, and bring in audiences to the halls.

    This is perhaps the most inspiring movie of the year till now. Some excellent acting by the Daniel Craig, Jamie Bell and Liev Schreiber makes this movie even better. a movie based on real life situation in which Jews of Eastern Europe were being killed by the Nazis during World War II. The movie shows the story of three Jews brothers who escaped from a certain death situation from the Nazis.

    Nazis were trying to eradicate Jews from Eastern Europe but these three brothers viz. Daniel Craig, Jamie Bell and Liev Schreiber were looking to take revenge. They wanted to take revenge not only for the problems they had to face but also for the innocent Jews who had been slaughtered by these Nazis. As the tale of the bravery of the brothers’ started to spread, more and more people started to join their group in order to face and fight the Nazis.

    The movie overall is excellent but at times certain themes seem repetitive which makes the movie boring at times. Apart from that director Edward Zwick did an excellent job.

    War Zone: This latest film directed by Lexi Alexander is the third film on Punisher, a comic book character, who goes on punishing criminals for the crimes done by them. Although the film is not that good, it is at least better than the two other movies on Punisher that had been released in the past. Ray Stevenson, who plays the character of Punisher in the film has done justice to the role, and very well portrays the role of the trigger happy hero in the film. There is too much violence in the film, and there is a lot of gun fight involved as the Punisher goes on punishing criminals for their misdeeds. The script is not at all god, and is one of the major letdowns in the film. The sets of the film also have a Batman Forever hangover to it, which also fails to impress much. From what it seems this film would not do well at the box office.

    Jason Statham once again returns to the silver screen in the role of the no-nonsense driver, Frank Martin, who goes about transporting packages for people from one place to another without asking about the contents of the package. Like in the previous two movies in the series this film too has a lot of action, however with a very weak script. In this film Frank is shown to be kidnapped by some people, who order him to drive around for them. The plot of the film is not at all good, however there is a lot of action that is punched into the film and Frank is shown doing a lot of fights in the film. Olivier Megaton, who has directed the film, should have tried making the film a bit more interesting if he meant to impress the audiences with the film. It seems that the film would not be able to work too much magic at the box office.

    This Catherine Hardwicke directed film is about a teenage girl named Bella and her love affair with a friendly vampire named Edward. The interesting thing about this film is that it shows that vampires can also be lovable and they do not always have to look horrible. The movie at the end shows hoe Edward must protect Bella from other vampires, who are not at all friendly and simply love human blood. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson act convincingly as the lovelorn Bella and Edward, however the film is not that good to captivate the interests of the audience. The director however should be appreciated to have made this film at such a tight budget, and it can very well be understood that with some more budget, the film could have been made much better than what it is. The movie will however be liked by those who have read the book series on which the movie is based.

    Death Race is a good film that has been able to impress audiences with the concept and action in it. The film shows a modern day prison, where prisoners must compete against each other in races in order to walk out free from the prison. They race against each other in cars that are armed with a lot of weapons and the prisoners not only must compete in the race, but also kill each other in order to win. The warden of the prison earns money by broadcasting these races live, and so makes sure that the prisoners come up with a good performance in the races. Jason Statham and the other actors in the movie have done a good job in the movie and the film has greatly been liked audiences who have liked the action and races that have been shown in the film. The film is expected to do well at the box office.

    The Star Wars series have been quite famous with people all over the world ever since the first movie of the series was released.
