This Catherine Hardwicke directed film is about a teenage girl named Bella and her love affair with a friendly vampire named Edward. The interesting thing about this film is that it shows that vampires can also be lovable and they do not always have to look horrible. The movie at the end shows hoe Edward must protect Bella from other vampires, who are not at all friendly and simply love human blood. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson act convincingly as the lovelorn Bella and Edward, however the film is not that good to captivate the interests of the audience. The director however should be appreciated to have made this film at such a tight budget, and it can very well be understood that with some more budget, the film could have been made much better than what it is. The movie will however be liked by those who have read the book series on which the movie is based.
