    The Forbidden Kingdom is directed by Rob Minkoff and dwells over the myths of ancient China. It tells the story of a Seeker, who finds the weapon of the Monkey King and must return it to him, to fight the Jade Warlord; in his mission he is aided by a scholar Lu Yan, the same person, who showed him the staff in present life.

    Combining two of the most celebrated artists of the martial art films, Jackie Chan (Lu Yan/Hop) and Jet Li (The Monkey King), the movie has some breath-taking action sequences. For the first time ever, Jet Li and Jackie Chan paired up on screen to give a terrific performance of kung fu fighting, against one another, as well as the villains.

    The film was quite a success at the Box Office and liked by the audiences, as well as most of the critics. The special effects and the fight sequences were pretty well executed, as always in the movies involving these two actors.
