    The musical fantasy film of 2007 has been directed by Kevin Lima and was the first to be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The story is about Giselle, a fairytale princess, who has been banished by an evil Queen from the animated Andalasia to the stark reality of present day Manhattan.

    Starring Amy Adams (Giselle), Patrick Dempsey as the Divorce Lawyer (Robert Philip), James Marsden (Prince Edward) and Susan Sarandon, as the evil Queen, the story weaves a fantastic fantasy plot. Torn between the Prince charming and her love interest, Giselle searches for a happy ending, which she eventually finds in the real world.

    The movie has paid great deal of attention to several aspects including the costume design, animation, music and special effects. Releasing just before thanksgiving, the movie was well accepted by the audience and faired on top of the Box Office. Both fans and critics had to be pleased by the well knit plot and the work to build it.
